HG Express trifft auf großen Namen

Am kommenden Samstag steht der letzte Auftritt des HG Expresses im denkwürdigen und unvergesslichen Jubiläumsjahr 2010 an. Der Rahmen für diesen Jahresabschluss könnte besser nicht sein. Gegner um 17.30 in der Kerschensteiner Berufschulturnhalle ist niemand geringerer als die SG Regensburg, welche immer noch mit klangvollen Namen aus kürzlich vergangenen Landesliga- und Bayernligazeiten aufwarten kann. Vor allem Spielmacher Matthias Meichel birgt für Erfahrung pur. Neben ihm spielen mit Andrje Gazvoda, Thomas Brandl oder den Heiligtag-Brüdern weitere Spieler, welche für handballerische Qualität stehen. Nach einer Serie von fünf Siegen in Folge, mußte sich die Mannschaft von Trainer Mario Meichel und Manager Urgestein Helmut Meichel letztes Wochenende dem VFB Forchheim geschlagen geben und belegt nach Startschwierigkeiten zu Beginn der Saison den 6. Tabellenplatz, mit deutlicher Tendenz nach oben. Die HG rangiert auf dem sehr guten 7. Platz und möchte auch der SG bis zum Schluß Paroli bieten. Hierzu benötigt man sicherlich wieder eine ähnlich geschlossene Mannschaftsleistung vergangener Spiele, bei der es vor allem darauf ankommen wird, den körperlichen Vorteilen des Gastgebers mit viel Bewegung und Kampfkraft entgegen zu treten. Im eigenen Angriff heißt es wieder Geduld im Aufbau zu beweisen und die gegnerische 6-0-Abwehr ins Laufen zu bringen, um gegen den zuletzt groß aufspielenden SG-Torhüter Meister möglichst wenig einfache Würfe nehmen zu müssen. Personell muß das Trainerduo Kessner/Lindner weiterhin auf Kollmer und Malik verzichten. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass die Rückenprobleme von Hillert einen Einsatz zulassen.
