Die neue Saison startet im Herbst, und zu einer guten Vorbereitung gehören auch Spiele gegen starke Gegner. So findet am Sonntag den 12.09.2010 in der Tangrintelhalle ein Vorbereitungsturnier der 1. Herrenmannschaft statt. Organisator und Trainer Kessner hat für den HG-Express folgende Teams als Gast eingeladen: TV Gunzenhausen, TV Wackersdorf, DJK Eichstätt und den FC Bayern München. Der genaue Turnierplan folgt noch, es spielt jede Mannschaft gegen alle Teilnehmer.

Trainer Michael Kessner ist nicht nur Coach des HG-Express, sondern auch ein sehr ambitionierter Schiedsrichter. So wird er heuer auch wieder überregional in Bayern unterwegs sein. Im Herrenbereich pfeift er zur Zeit Landesliga, im Damenbereich ist er berechtigt zur Leitung von Spielen in der Bayern-Liga. Wobei er selber noch weiter aufsteigen möchte.

Beim Zwei-Bezirke-Turnier in Schweinfurt für den männlichen Jahrgang 96 war auch wieder ein Talent der HG am Start. Marco Kiendl war mit dem Ostbayern-Team bei der ersten Sichtungsmaßnahme bei den Spielen gegen den Bezirk Oberfranken am Start. Neben dem Handballspiel, werden hier auch Koordinations- und Kraftübungen verlangt. Leider hat es nicht zur nächsten Sichtungsmaßnahme gereicht. Doch ist Marco ein fester Bestandteil des Ostbayern-Teams von Trainer Ernst Werner.

Kurz vor Start in die Saison bereitet sich auch die männliche B-Jugend auf die Bezirksoberliga-Saison 2010/2011 vor. Am 26.09.2010 findet in Manching ein Turnier mit voraussichtlich vier Mannschaften statt. Zugesagt neben Gastgeber Manching haben der TSV Schrobenhausen und die Jungs von Trainer Kiendl und Mößl. Es soll noch ein weiteres Team für ein Vierer-Turnier gefunden werden. Damit alle Mannschaften, die in der kommenden Saison BOL spielen, gut vorbereitet sind.
