HG-Express verliert Generationenduell

Am Sonntag, den 21.02.2016, musste der HG-Express eine bittere Niederlage im Abstiegskampf hinnehmen. Gegen die teils über 20 Jahre älteren Gegner vom Olympischen Gedanken Erlangen, die meisten bereits mit Erfahrung aus höheren Ligen, verlor die HG mit 23:25.

Bis zum 0:3 kam der HG-Express überhaupt nicht ins rollen. Erst dann funktionierte die Abwehr besser und man konnte langsam aufholen und beim Stand von 5:5 sogar die Führung übernehmen. Leider verpasste es die Lutzkat-Truppe ihren guten Lauf auszunutzen. Zu statisches und langsames Spiel führte dazu, dass der OG schnell wieder in Front lag. Somit gingen die Tangrintler mit einem 11:12 Rückstand in die Kabine.

Die zweite Halbzeit blieb so spannend wie die Erste. Die Franken konnten sich nicht absetzen und die HG schaffte es nicht aus zahlreichen Torchancen Profit zu schlagen. Immer wieder wurden gute Gelegenheiten verworfen (Darunter 3 von 5 Siebenmeter). Die erfahrenen Spieler aus Erlangen schafften es dann kurz vor Ende der Partie beim Stand von 22:22 sich einen 2-Tore-Vorsprung zu erspielen, was aber auch an der Hemauer Abwehr lag – trotz eines drohenden Zeitspiels des OG wurde beim Freiwurf kein Block gestellt. Leider war dieser Abstand genug um den HG-Express zu schlagen.

Großes Manko in diesem Spiel war die schlechte Chancenverwertung. Alleine die drei verworfenen Siebenmeter hätten wohl zu einem Sieg gereicht. Hinzukamen einige (fragwürdige) Zwei-Minuten-Strafen, die das Team zusätzlich schwächten. Am kommenden Freitag kommt es nun zu dem schweren Spiel gegen Tabellenführer Erlangen-Bruck.
